Emergency Cards - It is mandatory that Emergency Cards are to be filled out and turned in to our Nurse's Office at the beginning of every new school year.

Detentions - Students are required to complete assigned detentions within the week they are assigned or the student will be considered insubordinate. Detentions are completed in 30 minute increments every day after school. On Wednesday and Friday students can complete 2 or 3 detention obligations by remaining for the required time. Parents/Guardians must notify school if an exception is necessary.

Phones Students may not utilize cell phones during class time unless approved by the teacher for academic purposes. Students must comply with teacher rules re placement of phones during class time. Phones many not be used as calculators during a test. Phones will be confiscated and a parent/guardian must pick up the phone from the office if classroom phone rules are not followed.

Authorized School Activities - Students will not be considered absent if they are participating in authorized school activities including, but not limited to: field trips, athletic events, student government meetings, rehearsals or performances.

Students will not be considered absent if they are meeting with a counselor or an administrator or are receiving special services.

Off Campus Passes - Students needing an off campus pass must present a written parental/legal guardian request to personnel in the main office between the hours of 7:00 – 7:45 AM. If requested in person; parent/legal guardian must follow up with a written note, as well. Requests must be signed by the parent/guardian and must include the student’s name, home telephone number, reason the pass is needed, and the time the student is to be dismissed from and/or returned to school.

Tardies - Students are expected to be on time every day to every class. Tardy students interrupt the flow of a classroom’s education plan as students arriving late take time to settle into their seats. Tardy students will receive disciplinary consequences.

Hall Passes - Students need to use their planners for hall passes signed by the teacher. Each student will be issued a planner at the beginning of the school year. Students without a pass will be considered truant. Planners are also used as an organizer to record upcoming class or school activities. The cost for a replacement planner is $5.00 and can be obtained from Room P-26 (SAC Office). The school is not liable for any damage to the student planner or items contained within it.

Closed Campus- No food drop-offs are permitted during the school day. No Uber eats. Students may bring home lunch and snacks with them to school. Breakfast and Lunch is available to all students during the school day.

Visitors on Campus - To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all visitors are to report directly to the main office. All visitors, including guest speakers, MUST have a Visitor Pass. All teachers with guest speakers MUST obtain permission from the school’s Administration prior to their visit. No relatives or friends of students are to visit during school hours. The visitor’s parking area is located in front of “U” Building or at the one- hour parking along Lala Road.

Modified Schedules Seniors may apply to have their schedule modified for period 4, 6 or 7 (students must all attend homeroom class and may not leave homeroom early). However, Per 4 on Mondays students must remain on campus and are assigned to a teacher so that students may then attend their period 5 class. Students may not leave campus during period 4 on Mondays. Students may not attend KCC classes scheduled during the school day except for classes scheduled during Period 4 (except Mondays), 6 or 7. See modified schedule application for other requirements.
