Morning Announcements for 5/6/26 Morning Announcements for 5/6/26 Show Transcript okay good Morning Red Raiders here are your announcements for Wednesday May 6th 2026 today is the 8:00 appears 1 through 4 my name is Gabby and my name is Aubrey today's lunch will be hamburger curry with rice Asian khosla edamame mandarin orange fresh fruit and a whole grain roll tomorrow's breakfast will be chicken patty with rice applesauce and fruit juice just a reminder Mr Green's Purity class has lunch duty today a total of 6 students must report to the cafeteria 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the Lunch Period attention seniors representatives from Koi Community College will be on campus tomorrow May 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the final time this school year in the library to continue to assist with applications registration and helping you follow through on getting set for attending KCC in the fall be sure to check it out extension Radars missed the yearbook pre-order extra copies will be available to purchase in the main office for $50 hurry in before they're gone good morning athletes a friendly reminder that all emu fundraiser money and unsold tickets are do by this Friday May 8th to miss Ozaukee in a 105 please make sure to turn them in on time any unsold tickets not returned by Friday will become an obligation we appreciate your hard work and dedication to this fundraiser and thank you so much for your continued support of our athletic department attention all students on May 6th leadership class will be holding an ice cream bar for seniors only seniors will have to come during lunch in the East Courtyard for their free ice cream seniors don't miss attention all students voting for next year's homecoming is now open cast your vote by scanning the QR code below or find it on the koi high school student activities Instagram page you may also find the link in your school email voting runs until May 8th you don't want to miss it attention all students for those who are interested in joining the koi High Surf team next year please attend an informational meeting in room B 15 at lunch on Thursday May 7th next season starts now if you're having problems the answer is go serve this year surfing was added to the list of sports for a high school participation on Kawaii this gives many surf here's the chance to represent their schools and have fun where they meet the water Kawaii High School's Red Raider surf team is led by head coach Jonathan Medeiros who has been a surfer for 37 years I missed a maderas um You can call me coach maderas this year I teaching a quite high school for 20 years and graduated from Kawaii high school and it just started as the head coach for the surf team it's about time we have a surf team it's it's silly that it took so long I've been surfing my whole life and I've been advocating for having surf as a high school sport here so when it finally happened it seemed natural that to kind of take that that role it's great it's been fun I'm I'm I'm really proud of the the team and how far they've come the girls team is currently tied for first place in kif which is awesome couple of our boys are second or third ranked on the island in in their discipline so it feels good my name is Sicily Stein I've been surfing my entire life I thought it'd be really cool to do something I love on a sport and play for a team and be able to represent my school and it's pretty special to have the first ever surf competition I love being out in the water and being able to catch ways with my friends it's a good my favorite hobby ever experience or history was surfing is basically my it's it been an important part of my life for almost my whole life a place where I can go and like kind of get away from chaos of Life on land you know but it's just something I've been doing my whole life I like to serve because it's fun and I love the ocean my Uncle Chris Burkhart he taught me when I was little yeah how do I serve with him now I started surfing when I was about like 5 years old and I just did it ever since so I'm continuing that right now my name is Dessa I've been surfing as long as I can remember I decided to join the surf team because like why wouldn't I I surf because I love to do it and it's something that I just really enjoy this is pretty historical and it's the first ever surf team and it's cool to be able to do my for my goal was to get a team in the water and develop a good a good kind of like team Vibe and and we accomplished that so we feel good about the season it's really rewarding it's been awesome to work with the the athletes and train with them and share the you know the the joy and importance of the ocean we are always wishing the Red Raiders serve team good luck in their future competitions this is Aaron hazumi from Kawaii high school for hikino on PBS Hawaii these are your announcements for today have a terrific day
