Dear Parents, Guardians, Club and Supporter Groups, December 24, 2014
Several years ago Kauai High mandated that all school wear / supporter shirts/ club shirts must only be produced in one of four colors; red/ white/ black / grey. This letter is being written to remind all clubs, boosters associations, and other organizations related to Kauai High School of the requirement that they follow the dress code rules when ordering supporter and/or club tee shirts.
- Only 4 colors are allowed (red, white, black, grey)
- Must have Kauai High School or Kauai HS on the front of the shirt and be large enough letters to be visible
- Shirts worn at school must not be altered in any way (for example: no cut away necks, no shortened shirts, no rips etc.)
- No tank tops from supporter groups allowed as schoolwear on campus at any time
Furthermore, as of SY 2015-16, the older supporter shirts/ club shirts which are not in one of the four approved colors will no longer be allowed to be worn as campus schoolwear. There has been a transition period of several years during which older, non-conforming shirts were allowed. Effective at the start of the school year 2015-16 these non-conforming shirts will not be allowed on campus as student schoolwear.
This is a safety issue; we need to have Kauai High Students identifiable. Therefor once any KHS student steps on campus they must have on school wear which is clearly belonging to Kauai High and their ID badges on the front of their shirts. If there are any questions regarding this please let me know.
Thank you for all you do to support our student clubs, student athletes, and student performers.
